I recently had the misfortune of visiting Sowmanshya Psychiatric Hospital in Trichy, and I must say it was an absolutely dreadful experience. The hospital's practices and treatment methods left me deeply concerned and disappointed. First and foremost, let's address the exorbitant charges. They have the audacity to demand a staggering ₹7500 per day and insist on a minimum stay of 15 days. This exorbitant pricing alone reeks of exploitation and profiteering, preying on vulnerable individuals seeking help. The medication administered was equally alarming. The hospital's sole reliance on sedatives and injections to subdue patients is deeply concerning. These substances only serve to weaken the nervous system, offering temporary relief from behavioral issues without addressing the underlying causes. As a result, once the patients leave the hospital, their behaviors quickly revert to their previous state, rendering the entire treatment process futile. Furthermore, it is deeply unsettling to learn that Sowmanshya Psychiatric Hospital has implemented a sinister strategy to trap unsuspecting individuals who have the means to pay. They cunningly analyze patients' financial backgrounds based on their attire, place of origin, and occupation. This practice reeks of discrimination and showcases a blatant disregard for patient well-being. It is disheartening to witness a 75-year-old man like Gopalakrishnan prioritizing profit over the genuine care and well-being of those in need. In conclusion, my experience at Sowmanshya Psychiatric Hospital was nothing short of nightmarish. The exorbitant charges, reliance on sedatives, and their deceitful tactics to lure financially capable patients have left me appalled. I strongly advise anyone seeking psychiatric help to avoid this establishment at all costs. The care and well-being of patients should never be compromised for financial gain, and Sowmanshya Psychiatric Hospital has clearly lost sight of this fundamental principle.

Poor Hospitality Less Nurse.. That lady not even power on fans for the patient's waiting on the hall but she will be with Fan. THEY DON'T EVEN ATTEND PHONES BEFORE 9:30 JUST TO ENQUIRE THE AVAILABILITY OF DOCTOR AS WE ARE LOCATED NEAR SALEM .TODAY WE WENT THERE AND RETURNED AS DOCTOR NOT AVAILABLE .. I ATTEMPTED TO CHECK BEFORE STARTING THROUGH PHONE NOT ATTENDED ..ALL MY 17 TRIES GONE IN VAIN.. Treatment wise Doctor is Ok.. First counselling for us was done by a student/a research scholar spoken a lot to understand the problem... And so far we are with the same tablets ..Sometimes additional supplements depending on condition of patient i think.

200% waste of money. High room rent but worst infrastructure and services. Limited no of nurses and they will not be available when they needed. The worst part is Doctor. He is not at all talking to the patient with eye contact, even he is not at all listen while the patient explain the problem. Simply he is giving medicine. For in-patient, need to pay 15 days rent by advance, they are telling people leaving with in 1-2 days. That means that much worst service they are providing. Its another GH with high fees. Please don't suggest this hospital to anyone.
