I had attended Mind-Body Connection Workshop at Metta Therapy & Wellness Clinic in Khargar, Navi Mumbai on 29 November 2025. I have been suffering from anxiety and overthinking for years now. I had tried everything, including going to the best of the doctors, without any success. So I wanted to give this workshop a try. It turned out to be a wake-up call for me. The most important thing I got from this workshop was that those emotions and sensations that I have been experiencing for many years which has been affecting me mentally and physically were nothing, but a helpful signal to take action. We were asked how recalling certain incidents that had affected us mentally made us feel at that particular time. What kind of emotion showed up in our body? The emotions varied from person to person. For some, it was a pain in the chest, for others, it was stomach and so on. But the one that caught my attention was something the lady sitting behind me had experienced. Whenever she was stressed up, she used to have a pain in her left shoulder. I was shocked, that’s what exactly happens to me too. This means we don’t have to worry about the sensations and emotions that we experience from time to time. They may feel difficult but they do have a purpose, this is how your brain protects you. By giving you signal, it is nudging you to take action. It doesn’t want you to suffer silently. It wants you to pause and acknowledge that something needs to be done. I do accept that the emotions do show up for me from time to time, but I’m not going to put them on the back burner now. I am going to seek help from psychologist Anushka and her team at Metta clinic. Together, we are going to explore and find ways to take care of my mental health and well-being.
I’ve been taking sessions at Metta Clinic for the past two months and also attended a few workshops. Dr. Anushka ma’am has been very supportive and understanding, and her guidance really helped me through a tough phase.
