Silver Linings: Guidance and Counselling Centre

I have been working with Shobhika for three years, and throughout my most difficult moments, she has been a constant source of support. During times when I struggled with extreme thoughts, her guidance quite literally saved my life. Her compassionate and skilled approach has helped me develop healthier coping mechanisms and gain emotional stability. Having engaged with various therapeutic approaches over the years, I can say with confidence that Shobhika’s insight, empathy, and professionalism stand out. With her extensive experience and deep understanding of mental health, she offers far more than surface-level solutions. Her ability to tailor her methods to individual needs reflects both her expertise and genuine care. Therapy is a deeply personal journey—what may not resonate with one person can be profoundly transformative for another. I am truly grateful for the positive impact she has had on my life.

I attended many therapy sessions with Shobhika around 3-4 years ago. I found her approach towards anxiety to be extremely amateur. She kept suggesting mere distractions to stop an anxiety attack, instead of focusing on healthier responses that address the cause. Over the course of time, I also found her to be judgemental, unempathetic and projecting her own experiences/opinions onto me. When I finally decided to stop therapy, my mental health was considerably worse than it was when I started. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because even though my experience was pretty bad, I did still have 1 useful takeaway from my 4-5 months in therapy. Writing anonymously for my privacy. If you're looking for help with something more serious like anxiety or depression, do not go here! Please find a better professional, shobhika is better for just career etc or lighter stuff.

Found them unprofessional. Updating my review since u said you have not dealt with me.. I am upgrading my review to give a three.. Firstly I came with my son for first session. You extended the session to two and charged me for two. This gave me a feeling you guys are not client centric and it's business on your mind. You have taken my extra time for which I am not asking you to compensate.... Made me wait for five min to pay up. I thought you guys are discussing something to give some strategy for my kid but it was just the you were discussing whether to charge for one visit or two. This can't be treated as a business..v need people who are client centric in this field.. My feedback is that you need to set expectations, stick to timelines and give some strategy which can be practiced. You can't just say everything will be fine without doing anything... when we approach you with a issue u need diagnose and give a remedial action. End of 1.45 min me n my child are wondering what did we do driving two hours up n down to the place, plus 1.45 n going back thinking next time when we come v may find something different. If I paid 2000 bugs, I should get value out of it. That's the point. It's sad but that's what I feel...cheated... Anyways...this is not a complaint...it's a feedback n hope you are able to make amends and help people..Best wishes
