She's a very good listener and has a lot of patience. She made me see things I was ignorant about. I really felt good and have a lot of clarity after that session with her. Thanks to Dr divya , I now feel more myself than I have in a very long time.
Divya ma'am has helped me get out of a very difficult space. I can't imagine how much I was suffering and how I am living my life now. She took sessions for me 4+ hours straight in a row for months and months. Handled my calls in the midnight, even when she was sick herself. She is not just a therapist. She's now my friend, my mentor and the person who gave me my second birth, she helped me experience life the way it is, not because what anxiety told me it was. She resolved my thoughts as if she was herself responsible for them. She's a true God sent figure in my life. I am grateful for having a friend, a mentor, a therapist like her in my life. Recommending her 10,000% !!!
Here's my experience. I searched for psychology internships in Kanpur. I got her name and met her as a stranger in her clinic. After meeting her, she is no longer a stranger to me because she is too good and down-to-earth, and she has positive vibes. As my gut feeling said, I chose her as a mentor for my internship program. I enjoyed and learned many things during my internship. Her teaching method is too good and simple. She is always ready to teach in different methods. She always guides me. She starts with a basic knowledge and always motivates us to do better. I learn how to make a case history, a mental status examination, knowledge about disorders, a certificate, and so on. I got her super plus point, she checks my case history very deeply. Here, the learning environment is too good and safe. Accidentally, I met her improved client, and suddenly her client started talking with me, and that client started telling me her problems and telling me how long she had been taking counselling from her. And she shares her good experience with her. Her presence is like sunshine. During the internship you will throw out your negativity and stress. You will learn from her how to believe in yourself. At last I will say trust her as a mentor or your counsellor and take your own experience. I will definitely say you never meet a person like her. Thank you, ma'am, for your support, sharing your knowledge, guiding me, and believing in me. Here's a good news for Psychology students, she has started giving coaching classes for 11th, 12th & graduation students. Thanku mam again. You are my best mentor & teacher.🙏❤️
I was going through one of the toughest phases of my life when I realized that seeing a therapist was necessary. I would strongly recommend never ignoring your mental health, as it can lead you down a very difficult and wrong path if not addressed🙃. Whenever you feel the need for therapy, seek help as soon as possible — it can truly save you from the worst situations. At that time, I met Dr. Divya Mam, and I was initially unsure about sharing my personal struggles with someone. I wondered if the therapist would really understand everything. However, once I opened up, she was extremely helpful, and today I have much more clarity in my life. Dr. Divya Mam is very humble, understanding, and non-judgmental 🫶🏻❤️. She will never judge you, so you can freely share whatever is bothering you. She has become a mentor🌸 to me. She doesn’t just help you understand yourself better, but also offers a fresh perspective on life and how to view yourself. She teaches you how to accept yourself and motivates you to recognize your true potential. If you’re ever tired of your situation in life, she will remind you that you have wings to fly high. She will make you remember, again, that you are the magic ✨ within, and she will help you to see it. She is like the moon 🌙, whose light will guide you through the darkest times, helping you find clarity when everything seems uncertain. But it’s important to remember that you must continue working on yourself every day.
Let's experience what's been observed and felt. As a stranger, i had pre-conceived notions (how would the counselor behave, can she read my mind, will she judge me,will she force to me reveal my vulnerabilities, will she teach any quack practice like hypnosis, will she force me to reveal my vulnerability, will she provide a quick fix, and most of all will she understand me?). These are some of the common mis-conceptions which you and I have, so let's debunk those. First meet, is all you need to debunk most of them, if not all. I approached as an intern, but let myself out as I was by nature, she actively participated with me in my convo, actively listened to me, try to understand me as much as she possibly could during first meet, and i felt that the other person is not just passively listening but actively hearing, so that was cool, keeping in mind how overwhelming I was as a client.Plus like me you could also check her academic backgrounds on her website and social media handles to cross-verify for yourself whether she is legit or not. Past Clients, called maam's presence second home, and willingly shared their true stories, how it's not only when it's extreme, therapy is a precautionary measure, must have experience, which help them have self-clarity to be better able to deal with obstacles to their ignorance and in reality, they evolved throughout the process, they learnt, made mistakes, accept them, embraced them, and started a new chapter in their stories, so that was uplifting testimonial coming first hand from the person who had experienced it. I approached as an intern, and learnt and interacted with her, first thing that I observed was to- 'unlearn to learn', then a good calm approachable demeanour, a person that greets you every time you come and go irrespective of any emotional turmoil any other person is facing, feeling heard makes it less heavy. For the young aspirants, the technical parts that we learn was- Case history and Mental status examination, and Relaxation techniques, Roleplay, and a certificate (all this new fun activities within 1 month that i spent with her 6 days of the week). We had observational visit to Nav-uday Mansik Swastha Sansthan (Lucknow) where we got the exposure of clients issues and we both interacted with them and hosted activities in which they actively participated and simply had fun. And Best of all we learn how to understand ourselves, listen to others, and try to be a better person before becoming a mental health professional. Any fresher who is confused by these questions, whether clinical is better than counseling, or whether paying for the service and training you get is worth it irrespective of the distance, or whether you'll be able to learn and grow rather than just manual labor. Then I can vouch for it, come and experience it yourself it's worth it and all your doubts would get clear one at a time, worth every penny for the amount of hardwork and zeal she puts in, day-in day-out, even more than us interns. Lastly, for anyone who's reading this, therapy is fun, interactive, expressive and catharsis,it's like every emotions you have, every one of them needs to flow. Just like we don't go to the gym just because we are weak we go there to become strong, same for mental health, don't just come here to get quick fix, come here to be more self aware about yourself and your 'mind',one of the most important aspect of your overall health,if not less. (And on a personal note, i intentionally didn't gave 5 stars ma'am,coz there's always room and scope for improvement for you never ending fun, learning process, no matter how absolute near perfect your input is even today, still it's important for you to know that you are important. And we (anyone who gets to know you/clients/interns) are just part of your legacy,in your words-family. As the name suggests, it's all about inner happiness, so if you are still reading, then come and experience it yourself, and who knows your story would be better than mine. Thank You Divya Ma'am !
