We were admitted on 8th January 2026, and the overall experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. The staff behavior was highly unprofessional. Instead of explaining procedures, reports, or treatment plans, they behaved as if we were regular visitors who already knew everything. As attendants, we were left confused and anxious, with no proper guidance or communication from the medical team. The insurance department was the worst part of our experience. Their attitude was rude, dismissive, and humiliating. They treated us as if we were seeking free treatment rather than legitimate insurance-supported care. Basic coordination and respectful communication were completely missing. The nursing staff on the floor constantly shouted at patients and attendants, both during the day and night. This created a disturbing environment, making recovery and rest extremely difficult. Hospitals should be places of care and comfort — not stress and noise. Overall, this hospital seriously lacks professionalism, empathy, and patient-centered care. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone seeking respectful treatment or smooth insurance handling. Very disappointed with the experience.
When my mom was sick, one of the doctors referred her to First Neuro Hospital. The doctors there, Dr. Raghavendra and Rakshith, quickly diagnosed the issue as GBS and started treatment right away. Thanks to their expertise and the excellent care from the nursing staff, my mom is recovering really fast. I'd also like to highlight the exceptional service I received from Rekha in the insurance department. I had a health insurance, but when it was time for discharge, the insurance company rejected the claim. Just as I was about to pay the bill, Rekha stepped in and went the extra mile to help me. She reopened the claim, submitted documents multiple times, and continuously followed up with the insurance company. Her hard work and dedication were truly impressive, and I'm grateful for her efforts. In the end, I got a cashless insurance claim, and it was a big relief. Thanks, Rekha!
Visited for an emergency situation (SAH) for my grandma. Dr. Rajesh Shetty and Dr. Skanda are good doctors. They explain the situation and diagnosis clearly and well. However, docters recommended open brain surgery for an 80+ year-old patient who also had other major complications. Given my grandma’s very fragile health condition, we couldn’t take the risk of such a major brain surgery at that moment, considering her age and weakness. As there was some improvement in the patient’s consciousness, we decided not to proceed with surgery. No other medication options, alternative suggestions, or discussed, even though she was very weak overall. Once we decided not to proceed with surgery, the tone and attitude of the institution and staff changed too. Another major concern: The patient herself noted that the staff didn’t even bother to provide water or food while she was in the ICU for 16+ hours—until she specifically asked for it. It genuinely felt as though the management and staff were allowing (or even contributing to) her health deteriorating inside the ICU. Also, the so-called “ICU” doesn’t feel like a real intensive care unit. It seems more like a normal ward equipped with monitors and beds with lots of restictions, yet they charge the full ICU rate. Please do watch out for this when you visit, while you and your loved ones are already going through difficult times. Take care🙏🏻
I recently visited First Neuro Hospital in Mangaluru for a consultation with one of their neurosurgeons, and I must say the experience met my expectations. The neurosurgeon I met was truly outstanding. From the moment I entered the consultation room, I felt heard and understood. The doctor took the time to carefully listen to all my concerns without rushing through the appointment, which is often rare in today's healthcare environment. The examination was thorough and methodical – the doctor examined my pain areas with great attention to detail and precision. What impressed me most was the doctor's empathetic approach and ability to provide hope while being realistic about the treatment plan. Rather than just prescribing medication and sending me on my way, the doctor explained everything clearly, answered all my questions patiently, and gave me confidence that my condition could be managed effectively. The overall experience at First Neuro Hospital was excellent. The facility is well-equipped for comprehensive neurological care, and the staff maintains a professional yet compassionate environment. I would highly recommend First Neuro Hospital to anyone seeking neurological or neurosurgical consultation. The combination of medical expertise, patient-centered care, and genuine compassion makes this hospital stand out.
We had a very good experience at FNH Hospital, right from the first OPD visit until the time of discharge. It is truly one of the best hospitals for stroke and stroke-related treatment. Highly recommend this hospital to bring our loved ones back to life with proper treatment and care. All doctors are very knowledgeable and supportive. Special thanks to Dr. Rajesh Shetty, who is excellent in diagnosing and treating the condition accurately without unnecessary investigations or delays. He explains the patient’s condition in very simple and understandable language, which greatly helps reduce anxiety. His caring guidance and humble approach make a huge difference. The nursing staff are also excellent—very polite, professional, and always approachable whenever needed. All departmental staff maintain great discipline and provide dedicated care. Overall, a superb experience. Thank you to the entire FNH Hospital team for the wonderful service and care.
